Mataya is a vocalist/pianist, recording artist, performer and vocal coach. Her warm, honest, and unique vocal delivery is like no other, landing her many collaboration opportunities with countless successful Australian artists.

Mataya notably features on Hermitude’s hit single ‘The Buzz’, the Thundamentals’ Aria nominated album ‘So We Can Remember’ and more recently on their Triple J favourite ‘Sally’. She has performed as a feature artist at venues across the country and festivals including Splendour in The Grass and Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. Mataya has also worked as a live backing vocalist for Erana Clark at the Manly Jazz Festival and in the studio for Delta Goodrem.

When she is not writing, recording or performing she dedicates her time to private vocal coaching. Mataya has a passion for all things music and loves sharing her knowledge with her students. Her openness and calm nature creates a comfortable learning environment enabling her to nurture and encourage every individual and their needs. Using a blend of her own coaching techniques and methods taught by Erana Clark (Vocal Director of Australian Idol & X-Factor) her lessons are fun, personalised and invaluable.
